All Saints Heritage Centre welcomes you to a collaborative exhibit that is not to be missed. Manon West depicts the landscape of Connemara with its dramatic skies and intense colours using oils, watercolour, soft pastel and photography. Richard West works with found wood: an old log, rotten apple wood, something found on the side of the road. Under his skilled hand it becomes a work of art, while accentuating the essence of what it was.
Lustre of Form is a visual feast in 2 and 3 dimensions. The expressive and refined paintings of Manon West juxtapose Richard West’s exquisite selection of handmade woodturned pieces that range from functional salad bowls to purely artistic expression featuring luminous glazes and applied metallic leaf.
Manon West was born to French and Irish parents in 1999. She grew up in Connemara surrounded by the local artist community. She works in multiple mediums, focusing on classical figurative art and surrealism. Her personal environment is a central theme in her work. She recently graduated from ATU (Atlantic Technological University, Ireland) with a BA in Contemporary Art.
